I know you prolly get these threads all the time but I recently decided I'd like to come back and check out how the games doing. While I'm waiting for it to download I thought I'd ask your opinions on the state of the game. So how are things?

It's an old game, so population faces two problems:
A) Much fewer people play, so party play is only seen in the most interesting areas.
B) Most people who play have been playing for a long time, so they don't need to do most things that new players do and are generally extremely rich compared to a newbie.

However, the game is still here, still played, still great, and it can be played as a single player game if you use heroes and henchmen.

Also, of course, swaths of skills have been changed so you might want to familiarise yourself first with what's being abused/played at the moment.

I thought it was the other way around? If PvP is "dead" though, good, I won't be putting flowers on that grave.

Anyways OP, you should come back. As others said you will need to familiarize yourself with the skills because they have changed many times over since you probably last played. Overall the overworlds haven't changed much. The only thing different about prophecies mostly is the fact that there is small things going on in Kryta (War in Kryta) and Prophecies endgame got end game weapon rewards like the other campaigns.
